Republican candidate Courtney Kirby McCroskey today announced her candidacy for Sevier County Trustee, bringing nearly a decade of local experience and a deep commitment to public service.

A lifelong Sevier County resident born and raised on her family's farm in Kodak, McCroskey has a strong background in local government and community involvement. She graduated from Northview schools, attended Walters State Community College, and has been an active participant in county operations for close to a decade.

"Throughout my career, I've been fortunate to learn from experienced public servants," McCroskey stated. "I was trained by former Trustee Jettie Clabo and worked closely with Greg Patterson. My goal is to bring the same dedication, integrity, and community-focused approach that I've witnessed from previous trustees to serve the people of Sevier County."

McCroskey's experience includes working part-time in the trustee's office under Jettie Clabo in 2016 and later being hired full-time, gaining valuable insights into county operations. She was promoted to Chief Deputy in 2022 under Trustee Faye Loveday, drawing from the collective wisdom of three trustees with over 40 years of combined experience.

Jettie Clabo, Treasurer for the campaign to elect Courtney Kirby McCroskey, added, "Having served as Trustee for 30 years, I know the importance of dedication and institutional knowledge. Courtney has been trained by the best and has the experience to serve Sevier County with the same commitment and integrity that has always defined our trustee's office. Her deep roots in our community and her years of hands-on experience make her the ideal candidate to continue the tradition of excellent public service."

McCroskey lives on her family's farm with her husband Spencer and their daughter Elenora Faye, embodying the community-centered values she hopes to bring to the Trustee's office.
